Week 1 – Part B
So as I mentioned in my first post I have some serious scalp issues. As a loose nap, I washed quite often. So as soon as the next day after installing my locs, I was having a bit of concern. I was able to go 3 days which is my limit. Witch Hazel and Sea Brezze do not work for me, I just itch 10x’s worst.
Anyway, I decided to wash, I have very soft and curly hair, as you can see a little from this pic:
Now I washed by concentrating on my scalp, I have a perscription shampoo, so I used that this time. I scrubbed like I always do by really makigng slower smaller circular strokes in order to work the bases. I have to say it wasnt bad, I think two unraveled, but the best part was how my twist formed little ringlets on the tips after I washed, so here is a pic of them after their first wash and dry and a little retwisting , it also appears as if my part jumped, so I’ll have to get that fixed to the other side of my head!

Lord am I shiny or what???

This is often how things get done with me. The first big chop for me happened when I was riding along in the car. I had been transitioning and I all of a sudden said: “this hair has gotta go!” So I stopped at walgreens got the goods, and 1hour later I had a twa. So I started my locks on either the first week of November or the last week of October, but I cant remember exactly. I’m quite forgetful.
Locks started with two strand twist with ORS twist and loc gel which I have to say was probably a mistake, I am honestly not a fan of this gel, because of flaking issues. Also I happen to have dermatatis, so I have a very oily scalp, as a loose nap I washed every 1 to 3 days. So I ‘m wondering how it will go with the baby locs.
But here it is:
